इतने पास होकर भी दूर से गुज़र गए,
हम तो उन तारों की तरह थे
जो की चाँद को देखते देखते ही ढल गए।
हमारी राहें तो इन्दु और गंगा जैसे
कभी मिली ही नहीं,
पर जैसा किस्मत को मंज़ूर , वैसा ही सही,
तू सच है या गुमान मेरा,
तू मेरा है भी के नहीं,
यही सवाल है मेरा।
Translation · English
Even while standing so close,
we passed each other from afar.
We were like those stars
that faded away while gazing at the moon.
Our paths were like the Indus and the Ganga,
never truly meant to meet.
But perhaps fate knows better than we do.
Are you real,
or merely an illusion I created?
Are you ever truly mine?
That is the only question I carry.
