The clouds are heavy
But they never cry
They slowly drift above the city–
Cracked roads,
Empty rivers,
Shrivelled plants.
People begged and
Prayers they made.
But the clouds still refused
To give a drop of water
For the people who begged
Were the ones who destroyed
Nature,
Tore away the forests
And were never guilty.
Now they look at the sky
Hoping for mercy
That they never gave.
