Two Hearts in Moonlight

Two hearts in moonlight—
silver path across the waves
leads me back to you
Author's Note This is a haiku about distance and return. The moon lays a path of light across the water that seems to point only toward the one watching it — a private road no one else can walk. I wanted to hold the feeling of being separated from someone yet somehow always being led back to them, as if even the sea and the night were quietly conspiring to close the distance.
