Hands started shaking again,
dreams started breaking again.

Again, I was numb.
Again, I started to feel all dumb.

It started all over.
All I wished for
was for the inner sounds
to become just a little lower.

I was out of breath.
All my dreams were again
only about my death.

I was shattered,
yet apologising
was the only thing that mattered.

Surrounded by people,
yet alone.
My heart again wanted
to be just like a stone.

My feelings were ignored,
but all I wanted
was to be just a little adored.

My fingers started fidgeting again.
All my mistakes in my mind
started digiting again

Again, I wanted to be
a little kid
in the arms of my mum.

But yet again,
I was numb.
Author's Note "Again..." explores the recurrence of anxiety and the feeling of becoming trapped in familiar patterns of fear, numbness and self-doubt. The poem draws on physical sensations and private thoughts to describe how overwhelming emotions can return even after a period of calm.
