Elegy for the Moon

Spilled urns of the sun
Light scatters as the hand pulls
Mourning the pearl moon
Author's Note This is a haiku, inspired by Madeline Miller's The Song of Achilles — the knowing feeling where we go insane for someone or something we know we can't have, but we still keep trying, slowly marching towards the foretold ending we knew aeons ago but never stopped.
