I Exist In Maybes

I exist in maybes.

I'm a person of second chances.

Putting people in an ethereal light.

"Maybe they did not mean it that way."

Even if it hurts.

I live in wishes.

I wish for a life filled with peace.

Considering my reality? That's absurd. I know.

I guess that cottage in the suburbs is not mine to have.

I dream of miracles.

One where I write nonstop.

Financial freedom and quiet nights.

I said "dream."

It's not gonna happen anyway.

Dreaming is what I have.

I trust karma.

But even that betrays me sometimes.

I won't call myself a saint.

But I try to be good.

I don't know if it's enough.

Or maybe there is just little good left in this world to go around.

I believe in you.

I'm not okay, I won't lie.

But I hope you are.

Cheer yourself on.

Dream big.

Be good.

Wishes might come true, just not wearing the same stars we were expecting.
