Another night,
Listening to Earth's people.
They are different.
Some are angry,
Asking,
"How could God take away the ones I love?"
While others
Ask God
To save their loved ones.
Lovers look at me,
Writing me into metaphors,
Making me the main character
Of their stories.
Wars rage across the Earth,
Yet every heart wishes for the same—
"Let this war be over soon."
People cry
When they are at their lowest,
Believing no one is watching.
And here I am,
Quietly witnessing every tear.
Cities that never sleep
Hold countless stories.
And the cities that sleep
Have books full of stories.
A child
Sees me for the first time.
A student
Studies beneath my light.
A poet
Searches for words
While looking at me.
Different people.
Different lives.
Some sad.
Some happy.
Some lost in memories.
Yet all beneath
The same sky.
Some dance
As if there is no tomorrow.
Some whisper secrets
Only the night can keep.
Some write their last goodbye,
While somewhere else,
Someone writes
Their very first
"I love you."
And every night,
I write another page.
And every dawn,
I close it—
Waiting for tomorrow
To write again.
