To The Moon

Just when my eyes meet the moon,
My heart starts speaking,
Speaking the things my mouth is too afraid to word.
Something so simple starts sounding so complicated.
Tears make their way down my cheeks,
Not caring about the place I am in,
Not caring that I am surrounded by people,
People who won't hesitate to judge.
But they can't see my tears.
Someone shields them from the human eye,
Someone so divine.
Just like how the clouds hide the moon behind them.
To protect it from judgemental eyes.
So far, yet so close,
the moon listens,
Silently. Patiently.
Until my heart stops speaking,
Until my tears stop flowing,
Until the clouds engulf my words
And hide them from the human ears.
