Haar-e-Dil — Defeat of the Heart
Original ·
Roman · Urdu
Ke ab to mann ne bhi tere baare mein sochna chhod diya,
In aankhon ne aansu bahaana rok diya.
Kitne mauqe aaye, kitne chale gaye,
Is baar to mere dil ne dhadakna hi chhod diya.
Ab to woh raste bhi begaane se lagte hain,
Jahaan kahin hum tum humsafar honge.
Kya hum kabhi ek saath bhi honge?

Now even my mind has stopped thinking about you,
These eyes have stopped shedding tears.
So many chances came, so many passed away,
This time, my heart itself has stopped beating.
I once thought that your arrival
Would make my days brighter,
That your presence
Would leave my heartbeat restless with anticipation.
Now even those roads feel unfamiliar,
The roads where I imagined
You and I would walk as companions.
Will we ever be together at all?
